Connect CLE: Collaborative Learning Environment

The ESC of the Western Reserve was invited by Prevention Action Alliance to oversee the Northeast Ohio Regional Learning Collaborative of the Ohio Youth Led Prevention Network. The goal of YLP in Ohio is Youth Empowerment “ the ability of youth to influence the social and political systems that affect their lives.”

We are one of five Regional Learning Collaboratives in Ohio! The goal of the Northeast Ohio RLC is the expansion of quality/evidence based Youth Led Prevention Programs across all 16 counties in Northeast Ohio and to collaborate on common regional problems using the Youth Led Model.

The Northeast Ohio Region is made up of several towns and cities spanning our specific geographical area. There are various types of communities represented in our region including urban, rural and suburban areas. The region spans from the rural areas of Geauga County to the West side of Cuyahoga County and areas in between.

A leader is best when people barely know he exists. When his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” -Lao Tzu
