Karen Lackey MSSA, LISW
Karen is an Independently Licensed Social Worker with 31 years in professional practice. She completed her graduate degree in Non-Profit Management from Case Western Reserve University in 1989 and has worked in multiple service sectors including prevention education, mental health treatment, youth residential services and juvenile justice. Karen is currently in her 22nd year as Prevention Services Director for Geauga County Educational Service Center.
Jennie Canganelli, M.Ed.
Jennie Canganelli is a Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) Instructor working primarily with seventh and eighth graders in Geauga County schools. Jennie graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Social Work (B.S.S.W.) and worked for over ten years as a Licensed Social Worker in various social service agencies. Jennie earned her Masters of Education Degree (M.Ed.) in School Counseling from Cleveland State University. Jennie strongly believes in the importance of prevention education and utilizes her previous work experience and coursework in her current role as a TPP instructor. Jennie currently lives in Mentor, Ohio with her husband and two children.
Holly Jacobson, M.Ed., OCPS II
Holly is a graduate of Kenston High School, and a spent most of her life in Bainbridge. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Education in School Counseling from Kent State University. She is an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant, one of only 3 such specialists in Geauga County. Holly is currently the Youth Led Prevention Coordinator at Geauga ESC where she promotes and facilitates leadership activities and is committed to empowering young people to be active caring citizens.
